The purpose of the American Red Cross (ARC) Adult, Infant and Child CPR/AED Course is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac and breathing emergencies to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill adult, infant or child until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. The ARC Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED Course offers instruction in CPR and AED courses for adults to meet the various training needs. An American Red Cross certificate/card will be issued to each student upon successful completion of the course. Those who complete the training receive an Adult, Infant and Child CPR/AED Training certification valid for two years.
