Understanding Earth from above requires rockets and spacecraft that can launch with precision and travel safely through the atmosphere. In this mission, students explore the engineering principles behind rocket design, including thrust, stability, and trajectory. Students investigate how potential and kinetic energy affect a spacecraft during descent and how weight distribution and shock absorption influence survivability. Acting as aerospace engineers, they design and test a lunar landing system that protects their crew during impact. Students explore how rocket design affects flight stability and distance. By applying principles of propulsion, thrust, and aerodynamics.
To understand and protect our planet from above, engineers must design aircraft that can travel efficiently through the sky. In this mission, students explore how aerospace engineers use balance, thrust, and design modifications to improve flight performance. These sessions blend junior-level and apprentice-level activities, with lessons tailored to your child’s age and skill level.
