Ages 12 & up
Ready to build your stitch vocabulary? In this class, you'll learn the essential increases and decreases that every knitter should know, understand how they shape your fabric, and start to recognize them in your knitting. Along the way, we’ll apply these stitches in a simple project that introduces the look of lace.

Prerequisites:
Students should be confident with the basic knitting stitches: casting on, the knit & purl
stitches, binding off, and weaving in ends.

Required Materials:
-Size US 7 (4.5 mm), knitting needles (or similar size to match your yarn)
-Both circular and straight needles will work
-Yarn: One skein of an economical, smooth, worsted weight (category 4) yarn
-Scissors
-Stitch markers
-Tapestry Needle
