Ages 12 & up
Fall in love with the classic granny square! In this fun workshop, we’ll cover the basic structure of a traditional granny square, along with simple variations to expand your creativity. You’ll leave with completed squares and the skills to turn them into larger projects like blankets, hats, bags, or even sweaters!

Prerequisite:
Students should be confident with basic crochet stitches (chains, single crochet, half double
crochet and double crochet).

Required Materials:
-Yarn: Two skeins of smooth, worsted-weight (category 4) yarn in contrasting colors
-Crochet Hook: Size US I/5.5 mm OR size to match your yarn
*NOTE: We will not worry about gauge as this class is meant to focus on the
techniques used in making granny squares.

-Tapestry Needle
