Ages 12 & up
Get into the Christmas spirit by crocheting a classic stocking that’s just waiting to be hung by the chimney (with care, of course). We’ll walk through crocheting in the round, shaping for the toe and heel, and all those satisfying finishing touches—like a cozy cuff and a sturdy hanging loop. Along the way, you’ll have plenty of room to play with color and make your stocking uniquely yours. Whether you’re making one for yourself or starting a whole handmade tradition, you’ll leave with a stocking full of personality and skills you’ll use again and again.

Prerequisites:
Students should be confident with basic crochet stitches (chains, single crochet, half double
crochet and double crochet) as well as working in the round.

Required Materials:
-Crochet Hook Size US I/5.5 mm (or similar size to match your yarn)
-Yarn: 1-2 skeins of smooth worsted-weight (category 4) yarn (approximately 200
yards)
-Scissors
-Tapestry Needle
